I have had this a few times and I really like it. I asked my friend how she makes it and I was shocked by the cooking directions. (I hid my shock)
I said to her, So I put the beef in the pan and then poor the lime juice on and cook it right? She says well a plastic bowl is better. I said how do you cook it in a plastic bowl? Microwave? She is starting to look at me with the funny look. Heck I don't know! She said the lime cooks the meat.
Does anyone know how the lime "cooks" the meat to make it safe for eating? I had both shrimp and beef ceviche and they were really good. I had no idea that the meat was never cooked on a stove.
